On 8 April 2010, the Perth Solar City program was proud and honoured to announce the launch of a 49kW solar PV system at the Central Institute of Technology.

The Perth Solar City and Central Institute of Technology teams were there, along with Hon Peter Collier, Minister for Energy; Training, Senator Louise Pratt, Senator for Western Australia and other government and industry representatives.
