Sustainable Communities Competition
This competition has now closed.
Congratulations to Kalamunda's Spring Road Kindergarten for winning the title of Perth Eastern Region's Most Sustainable Community. Their prize was a 2.1kW solar PV system donated by SunPower.
Hon Donna Faragher, Minister for Environment commissioned the system in October 2010 and praised the kindergarten for their dedication to the natural environment.
This 2.1kW solar system will generate almost enough energy to elimate Spring Road Kindergarten's power bills.
Congratulations to the Rimmer family of Lesmurdie who won a 1.2kW solar PV system from SunPower in the random draw.
The sustainable communities' competition ran from March to the end of May 2010 and was open to all community groups that demonstrated sustainable living practices in the Perth Solar City region.
